CEO PHA Foundation met Chief Secretary KPK regarding PHA Residencia Peshawar A high-level meeting was held to review the progress of the PHAF Residencia Peshawar Project. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and attended by the Secretary Housing KP, Director General KP PHA, CEO/Managing Director Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF), Ministry of Housing & Works, and the Chief Engineer PHAF. During the meeting, the CEO/MD PHAF briefed the participants on the current status of the project. He informed that PHAF Residencia is a joint venture between the Federal Government and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Construction of a permanent police station has commenced, while a temporary police station is already operational at the site. Additionally, work on the main boulevard is actively underway. The CEO further shared that the tender process for the construction of 885 housing units under Phase-I is currently in progress and is expected to be finalized within the next 10 to 15 days. Upon award, construction activities will formally begin at the site. The Director General KP PHA informed that tenders for the construction of the boundary wall and the main entrance gate have also been floated. These works are expected to be finalized within a week, after which execution will begin on site. The CEO/MD PHAF emphasized the urgent need for police deployment at the site to ensure security. He also raised concern regarding the slow pace of the canal dualization work and requested the timely release of funds to the Irrigation Department to expedite the process. In response, the Honorable Chief Secretary assured that police personnel will be deployed at the site upon receipt of a formal written request from PHAF. Furthermore, it was decided that the groundbreaking ceremony of the PHAF Residencia Peshawar Project will be conducted at the project site by the Honorable Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, subject to his availability after Eid. The Chief Secretary appreciated the collaborative efforts of both the Federal and Provincial agencies in executing this vital housing scheme. He reiterated the full support of the Provincial Government in overcoming any challenges being faced. Emphasizing that housing is a basic human need, he directed all stakeholders to ensure timely development of the project with all essential amenities for future residents.
